YOUR Para Athletics Track & Field Meet

Just because you've never heard of this meet (after all, we are a new meet) doesn't mean you should skip it!
Sure, our Florence Flamingo Games is the new kid in town, but WE certainly are not. At USATF South Carolina, we are passionate about Track & Field, and we have a reputation for hosting quality meets. In 2026 we are expanding our focus to include a new track & field meet for Para Athletes. We welcome you, and hope you will be part of our inaugural Florence Flamingo Games.

About the Meet (in other words, Why Should you Participate?)

  • The Florence Flamingo Games are sanctioned
  • The Florence Flamingo Games are currently L2 sanctioned event, but we are actively pursing L3
  • The Florence Flamingo Games with have an abundance of USATF Officials
  • The Florence Flamingo Games will be professionally timed by Timinginc.com
  • Entry fee is $50 for the meet: whether one event up to four events, it is still $50
  • The Florence Flamingo Games are supported by the City of Florence
  • The Florence Flamingo Games are supported by Florence Flamingos Baseball
  • Both the City of Florence and the Florence Flamingos have been tremendous partners in this meet.
  • The Florence Flamingos has put together a special deal. The Flamingos have a baseball game Saturday evening. For athletes participating in the Florence Flamingo Games, the Florence Flamingos are offering an $11 deal. This includes admission to the game, a hat, and a meal (burger, or chicken sandwich, or hotdog, plus chips and a drink). Wow! What a concept: have a great day competing at the Florence Flamingo Games track & field meet, then have a relaxing evening next door at the Florence Flamingos baseball game.

Sprint (Laned races) 20m – Junior athletes only 60m 60m weave 100m 200m 400m Middle Distance 800m 1500m Long Distance * 3000m 5000m * Athletes may only compete in either the 3000m or the 5000m. They cannot compete in both.

Yep, you read that correctly! There is a meet entry fee for each competitor, not a fee for each event. The single meet entry fee for a competitor covers up to 4 events.
